THE COMPLETE HISTORY OF:

The British & Irish Lions Rugby

Every 4 years, 4 nations come together to form a team that tours the southern hemisphere.

4 teams that just battered each other a few short weeks ago in the 6 nations must put their rivalry aside and gel as a team within weeks.

Easy? Definitely not.

On paper the Lions should easily win the majority of their games, but the stats say otherwise.

It’s a lot harder than one might think for a team full of superstars to work together and beat the southern hemisphere sides. History shows that the Lions win percentage in games is only 40%!

It gets worse.

The Lions have only won 6 out of 38 games vs New Zealand and only 1 tour, EVER.

And that’s who they are playing this tour….The stats are firmly against the Lions but this is arguable the best Lions squad ever. We cannot wait for this tour!

We have collated more awesome stats from the History of the Lions in our infographic below.
